Abstract:
Objective: To discuss the values of PICC applied to the patients after the surgery of esophagus cancer and clinical nursing measures. Methods: All 108 patients were randomized into the observation group and the control group according to the visiting order, 54 cases each group. Both groups adopted parenteral venous inflow of nutrient solution and clinical care, among them, the control group were infused by venous indwelling needle and the observation group infused by PICC, catheter indwelling time, the incidences of the complication and the patients′ satisfaction degrees of both groups were compared. Results: Catheter indwelling time of the observation group was (22.41±5.36) days, shorter than (57.82±14.13) days of the control group, and the difference had statistical meaning (P＜0.05). The observation group was lower than the control group in the incidence of the complications including phlebitis, tube plugging, fluid exudation, local swelling, infection and others obviously, and the difference showed statistical meaning(P＜0.05). Clinical nursing effects satisfactory rate of the observation group was 96.3%, higher than 74.07% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion: PICC and timely, rational clinical nursing given to the patient with esophagus cancer could prolong the indwelling time of the catheter, relieve the patients′ pain, decrease the incidence of the complications and improve the patients′ satisfactory degrees.
