Abstract:
Objective: To discuss the anti-aging effects and the mechanism of “ShenXian Zhou” in DunHuang YiFang. Methods: All 48 SPF healthy SD rats, aging two months and body weight (150±30)g,were selected, eight rats were randomly chosen and taken as the blank group, the other rats were prepared to the aging models through hypodermic injection of D-galactose (125 mg/(kg·d), the blank group were injected with equivalent dose of 0.9% physiological saline. After successfully preparing the models, the aging rat models were randomized into the model group, positive control group, low, moderate and high dose groups of ShenXian Zhou, eight rats each group, half male and half female, to perform the intervention experiment, basic conditions of the rats were observed simultaneously, organic level (thymus index, spleen index) and immunity levels (SOD and MDA) were observed to study anti-aging effects of ShenXian Zhou. Results: The difference had statistical meaning when organic levels and immunity levels of the model group were compared with the levels of the other five groups (P<0.05). The difference had no statistical meaning in the comparisons among the other groups except the model group (P>0.05), the difference was statistically significant when SOD activity and MDA contents of the model group were compared with these of the blank group, positive control group, high dose group of ShenXian Zhou(P<0.05), the difference had no statistical meaning in the comparisons of the other groups except the model group (P>0.05). Conclusion: “ShenXian Zhou” in DunHuang YiFang shows anti-aging effects.
