According to the characteristics of heart failure at different stages, national master of TCM Shen Baofan treats chronic heart failure by stages applying the theory of phlegm-stasis inducing disease, simultaneous treatment of phlegm-stasis. In clinical treatment, he pays attention to simultaneous treatment of phlegm-stasis, focusing on promoting blood circulation in the treatment of phlegm, focusing on diuresis while treating blood stasis, treating phlegm and stasis together throughout the course of heart failure, and obtains noticeable clinical effects.
