国医大师班秀文认为，花类药升发阳气、悦肝畅脾之力最优，能解肝郁、健脾运，虽无化瘀之功而瘀自化，虽无利湿之能而湿自除。通过收集整理班教授运用花类药的医案，将其学术经验总结为：调气化非花类药无以疏——运用各种花类药理气血、调气化，以助脏腑运化；散瘀滞非花类药无以化——运用凌霄花、鸡冠花、玫瑰花等花类药活血散瘀，而无凝滞之患；悦肝脾非花类药无以畅——于疏肝健脾方药中加入合欢花、素馨花、佛手花等花类药，疏肝解郁而不致伤阴，健脾助运而无损正气。并附验案3则加以说明。
Abstract:
National TCM Master Ban Xiuwen held that flower medicinal materials are most effective in ascending Yang Qi and harmonizing the liver and spleen, thereby alleviating liver depression and promoting spleen function. Although these materials do not possess direct blood-activating or diuretic effects, they can naturally resolve blood stasis and eliminate dampness through their regulatory actions. By collecting and systematizing Professor Ban’s clinical medical records involving flower medicinal materials, his academic experience can be summarized as follows: (1) For regulating Qi transformation, flower medicinal materials are indispensable: various types of flower medicinal materials are employed to regulate Qi and blood as well as Qi transformation, thereby facilitating visceral transportation and transformation; (2) For dissipating stasis and stagnation, flower medicinal materials are essential—flowers such as Lingxiao (Campsis Flower), Jiguan (Cockscomb Flower), and Meigui (Rose) are used to activate blood and disperse stasis without causing stagnation; (3) For harmonizing the liver and spleen, flower medicinal materials are necessary—flowers like Hehuan (Albizia Flower), Suxin (Jasminum Flower), and Foshou (Buddha’s Hand Flower) are added to formulas for soothing the liver and strengthening the spleen, which relieves liver depression without injuring Yin and supports spleen function without damaging healthy Qi. Three illustrative cases are appended to demonstrate the application.
