通过对《汉书·艺文志》《隋书·经籍志》《新唐书·艺文志》《宋史·艺文志》《明史·艺文志》这五部目录书进行宏观解读，梳理其中记载的医方，同时对其所载的医药文献目录进行微观考察，解读医经类、经方类、本草类、针灸类、注释类医籍的发展过程，为相关研究奠定基础。

By reading five index books including Hanshu?Yiwenzhi (Book of Han Dynasty? Art and literature), Suishu?Jingjizhi (Book of Sui?Record of Classic Works), Xintangshu?Yiwenzhi (New Book of Tang? Art and literature), Songshi?Yiwenzhi (Book of Song?Art and literature ) and Mingshi?Yiwenzhi (Book of Ming?Art and literature) from a macro perspective, the medical formulation recorded in the books were collected. Meanwhile, the catalogue of medical literature recorded in the books were investigated in details, therefore, to explain the development courses of classic medical books, classic formulations, materia medica, acupuncture and the annotation for medical books, which could lay the foundation of the relevant studies.
